- Which countertop is best for a busy kitchen?
- Quartz is the most forgiving because it is non-porous and does not need sealing. Granite and quartzite handle heat well and need periodic sealing. Marble is beautiful but etches from acids, so it suits homeowners who accept some patina.
- How long does countertop replacement take?
- Once the slab is chosen, fabrication typically takes one to two weeks, and installation is usually a single day. Being without a sink for a day or two is the only real disruption.
- Can you replace countertops without replacing the cabinets?
- Yes, as long as the cabinets are sound and level. We check them at the site visit and shim or reinforce where needed before templating.
- Do you install outdoor countertops?
- Yes. For outdoor kitchens in Texas heat we recommend granite or a dense quartzite, since some quartz can discolor in direct sun.
