Questions
Before you call.
The questions we hear at nearly every first meeting. If yours is not here, ask us.
- How do I get an estimate?
- Send the estimate request form or call us. We call back within one business day to talk through the project, then visit your home to measure and discuss options. You receive a written, itemized estimate after the visit.
- Is the estimate free?
- The first meeting and the written estimate for a defined scope are free. Detailed design work, drawings and material selections start after you decide to move forward with us.
- How long does a remodel take?
- It depends on the scope and on material lead times. A bathroom refresh is measured in weeks, a full kitchen or an addition in months. You get a dated schedule before work starts, and we hold to it.
- Do you handle permits and inspections?
- Yes. Pulling city permits and scheduling inspections are part of our scope, not yours. We also know the architectural review steps in the master-planned communities across Collin County.
- Can we live in the house during the work?
- Almost always. We seal off the work area, keep a clean path through the house and clean up every day. For a kitchen remodel we help you set up a temporary kitchen zone.
- How does payment work?
- A deposit at contract signing secures your place on the schedule, then progress payments follow milestones written into the contract. The final payment is due after the walkthrough, when you are satisfied.
- Do you offer a warranty?
- Yes. Every project ends with a final inspection together, and our workmanship warranty is written into your contract. Manufacturer warranties on fixtures and materials pass to you as well.
- Do you help with design and material choices?
- Yes. Design and selections are steps three and five of our process. We narrow the options, show you samples, and put the choices into a concept plan you approve before construction.
- What if I want to change something mid-project?
- Changes happen. We price the change in writing, show the effect on the schedule, and only proceed after you approve it. Nothing is added to your invoice without a signed change order.
- Who is in my home during the project?
- Our own crews and licensed trade partners we have worked with for years, coordinated by one project lead who is your point of contact from the first day to the last.
- Are you licensed and insured?
- Yes. We carry general liability insurance, our electrical, plumbing and HVAC work is done by state-licensed trades, and we are registered with the cities we work in. Documentation is available on request.
- Which areas do you serve?
- We are based in McKinney and work across Collin County: Frisco, Plano, Allen, Prosper, Celina, Melissa, Anna, Wylie and Richardson. If you are nearby but not on that list, ask.
